Dr. Martens graduated from Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, TX where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He then went on to achieve a post-doctorate degree in Chiropractic Neurology. Prior to attending Chiropractic College, he graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelors degree in Biology. He is the area’s only Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist and is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board.
A Chiropractic Neurologist serves in the same consulting manner as a medical neurologist. The difference is that the therapies or applications of a chiropractic neurologist do not include drugs or surgery. Dr. Martens has experience treating patients with severely debilitating neurological conditions (traumatic brain injuries, seizure disorders, Parkinson’s), patients in the initial stages of neurological disease (pre-Parkinsonian syndromes), as well as patients with minor neurological disorders (ADD, ADHD, motion sickness).
Dr. Martens serves in the treatment of typical Chiropractic patients as well as those with neurological problems.
